Drivers
of this ultra-premium luxury car rental exude
extravagance, success and fame. And, while
the 2008 Phantom may have all the same luxuries
as other high-end luxury vehicles, it’s
the special touches that set it apart and
give it a true “Rolls Royce touch.”
A
five-seat sedan, the 2008 Phantom features
20-inch wheels, a run-flat tire system, adjustable
air suspension, bi-xenon headlights, LED running
lights, power-closing rear coach doors and
a power-closing trunk lid. Combined with a
rich interior made up leather headliner, wool
and cashmere accent panels, a multi-zone climate
control system, heated front and rear seats,
a sun roof and veneered picnic tables in the
front seats, the car is the ultimate home-away-from
home. But that’s not all. This extravagant
Rolls Royce car rental also features Bluetooth
capabilities, keyless ignition, a navigation
system, voice controls and a 15-speaker surround
sound system. ]
With
the 2008 Phantom comfort is key. Although
the standard model has an unusually large
backseat, ten extra inches of length and rear
seat legroom are available in the extended-wheel
base (EWB) model. The EWB model also takes
the exotic car rental once step further with
rear climate control, reversible footrests
and a rear-seat entertainment system with
LCD flat screens and a six-DVD changer. With
all that going on in the backseat, you may
want to consider hiring a chauffeur.
And
all those are just standard. Optional amenities
include 21-inch chrome or alloy wheels, visible
exhausts, an expanded trunk, a front and rear
camera system, multi-adjustable power rear
captain’s chairs, a chilled box for
the rear seats, a drink cabinet, fiber-optic
“Starlight Headliner” ceiling
lights, rear-curtains, a humidor, a wine cooler
and an unlimited amount of leather and trim
options.
And
while the interior is certainly luxurious,
the engine isn’t so bad either. Powered
by a 6.7-liter V12, the Phantom produces 453
horsepower and 531 pound-feet or torque and
uses a 6-speed automatic transmission. Accelerating
from zero to 60 in 5.7 seconds, the top speed
of the large vehicle is 149 mph, not bad for
something with so much room on the inside.
