Blending the sleek lines of a luxury two-door
with the convenience of a larger sedan, the
2008 Mercedes Benz CLS Class offers style
and practicality. Available in two different
models, the four-door 2008 CLS Class is based
on the company’s E Class but features
more rear-seat legroom and front-seat comfort.
Powered
by a 5.5-liter V8 engine, the CLS550 is a
standard Mercedes Benz car rental and produces
382 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque.
Several luxury features, including 18-inch
wheels, a semi-active air suspension, a power
tilt-telescoping steering column, a sunroof,
10-way power front seats with memory, four-zone
climate control, leather upholstery and an
impressive surround sound stereo system all
come standard.
The
CLS63 AMG is an upgraded version of the 550
for those who prefer a more powerful luxury
car rental with additional amenities. Running
on a 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 507
horsepower, the CLS63 features 19-inch wheels,
heated front seats, a sports steering wheel
and an upgraded leather upholstery package
with Alcantara inserts.
Each
exotic car rental can be upgraded with different
luxury packages that enhance styling and performance
by adding limited-slip rear differentials,
a speed governor increase, a track-calibrated
suspension, upgraded breaks and upgraded wheels
with carbon-fiber trim. The Premium I Package
adds Bluetooth capabilities, a power trunk
closer and an impressive navigation system
while the Premium II Package throws in keyless
ignition and entry and active bi-xenon headlamps.
Standard
safety features in each of the models include
antilock disc brakes, active front head restraints,
side curtain and abdomen airbags, a driver’s
knee airbag and stability control. A PreSafe
system, which senses an impending collision,
is also standard and will automatically tighten
the seatbelts, close the sunroof and position
the right front seat for optimum airbag protection
should it sense a collision is coming.
