To the naked eye, the Gallardo Coupe may seem
less high-tech than typical Lamborghini’s,
but this exotic car rental can keep up with
the best of them. Described as a “livable”
Lamborghini, the 2008 Gallardo Coupe comes
standard with 19-inch wheels, an automatically
extending rear spoiler, bi-xenon headlights,
dual-zone automatic climate control, luxurious
leather upholstery, a four-speaker stereo
with six-CD changer, and two auxiliary audio
jacks and a multimedia control interface.
Powered
by a 5.0-liter V10 engine, the all-wheel drive
coupe produces a whipping 512 horsepower and
376 pound-feet torque. The six-speed manual
transmission comes with a gated metal shifter
however, for those of you uncomfortable driving
a stick shift, a six-speed automatic transmission
is optional.
For
those who crave a Lamborghini car rental with
even little more power, the Superleggera,
a souped up version of the Coupe, has an upgraded
engine that produces 522 horsepower and weighs
150 pounds less than the standard Coupe. Featuring
an E-gear as the standard transmission, the
Superleggera soars from zero to 60 mph in
an impressive 3.7 seconds flat.
To
prevent front spoiler scrapes, a suspension
lift system is available while antilock brakes,
stability control and side airbags are all
standard in the vehicle. Optional features
include carbon-ceramic brakes, a rearview
camera, heated seats and side mirrors and
an impressive navigation system.
What
makes the Gallardo Coupe a true luxury car
rental is the interior. Elegant leather upholstery,
comfortable seating and carbon-fiber detail
are all standard. Upgrade the vehicle with
state-of-the-art entertainment features while
special-order “Privilegio” options
are available so that drivers can pick and
choose from specialty leather colors and trim
materials. Known for catering to their drivers,
the skies the limit with a Lamborghini.
