an Italian-based car manufacturer that only
produces the most extravagant automobiles for

The company was founded by Enzo Ferrari who
first fell in love with race car driving when
he was a boy. After spending a few years working
with a carmaker, Ferrari landed a racing gig
and began placing in races throughout the
country. Soon after he started working with
Alfa Romeo, a well known manufacturer of cars,
and eventually left the company to start his
own, taking with him a great deal of knowledge.
Combining his two passions in life, racing
and car manufacturing, Ferrari began to create
the most powerful sports cars the world had
seen. Featuring impressive engines and sleek
style, each of the cars was finished off with
what has become a familiar trademark of every
Ferrari car rental - a prancing horse.
Apparently the horse is a reflection of a
badge given to Ferrari by the parents of Italian
pilot Francesco Baracca, who was killed in
battle.
The first car produced under
the Ferrari company was the Tipo 166, which
featured a 2.0-liter V12 engine. In the 1950’s,
Ferrari joined forces with Pininfarina, a
famous Italian design house, and began producing
vehicles that were not only impressive in
power but design as well. The two companies
still work together to this day to produce
the most powerful yet elegant luxury car rental
the world has seen.
