Considered
the ultimate prize for many sports car enthusiasts,
the Chevrolet Corvette has been around for
decades and keeps getting better every year.
With three different models to choose from,
a slew of features and amenities and an engine
that gets more powerful every time a new version
is released, the Corvette is the perfect exotic

The
heart of the Corvette lies in the engine.
Generating 430 horsepower, about 30 more than
the previous model, the 2008 Corvette coupe
and convertible models both feature 6.2-liter
V8 engines. Additional power can be found
in the Corvette Z06 coupe, which features
a 7.0-liter V8 that produces 505 horsepower
and 470 pound-feet of torque. And while the
engines in the Corvette may vary, the transmission
remains the same. Drivers can look forward
to a six-speed manual gearbox or an optional
six-speed paddle-shift automatic in the coupe
or convertible.
Like
any luxury car rental, the Corvette features
several interior amenities to make it feel
as though you’re relaxing in your home
rather than riding in a car. From keyless
entry and startup, full power accessories,
satellite radio and leather seating to a six-way
power driver seat, dual-zone climate control
and an OnStar navigation system.
And
while there are several standard amenities
in a BMW car rental, drivers also have several
optional packages to choose from. The Z51
performances handling package adds extra cooling,
stiffer suspension calibrations, bigger brakes
with cross-drilled rotors, specific tires
and shorter gearing so that the car handles
unfamiliar curves more easily. The convertible
and coupe can be outfitted with custom two-tone
leather, a transparent roof panel, a head-up
display and driver-seat memory as well. No
detail is too small and no luxury left unattended
to.
