After being redesigned last year, the 2008
Cadillac Escalade ESV is a sought after luxury
car rental and bigger and better than it’s
predecessor. Seating eight people, the ESV
features a 130-inch extended wheelbase, a
huge cabin and 46 cubes of luggage capacity
behind third-row seats, making it perfect
for large families. Towing up to 7,800 pounds,
the luxury SUV performs much like a pick-up,
without the rugged appearance.
Powered
by a 6.2-liter V8 engine, the SUV produces
403 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque.
Available with two-heel drive or all-wheel
drive, the ESV comes with a standard six-speed
automatic transmission and features both a
tow/haul and manual shift mode.
Standard
features of this Cadillac car rental include
xenon headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, power-folding
mirrors and a remote start feature. Upgrade
to the V8 Ultra Luxury Collection Package
and bask in a heated steering wheel, adaptive
headlights, a sunroof and power folding second-row
seats. One step further is the Escalade ESV
Platinum, which gets you 22-inch chrome wheels
and a CTS-inspired front grille.
And
while all these things make the 2008 ESV almost
the perfect ride, it’s the interior
features that make the SUV the ideal luxury
car rental. Leather upholstery, an optional
rear-seat entertainment system with additional
video monitors and a 10-speaker 5.1 surround-sound
Bose audio system bring the comforts of home
right in to your car.
Aside
from the luxury, the interior of the ESV is
incredibly convenient. The power fold-and-flip
second-row of seats allows there to be more
leg room for those sitting in the back. User-friendly
controls, including a large, touch screen
navigation system, a power lift gate, surround-sound
audio and a three-zone climate control system,
make driving and control a breeze.
